The insidious nature of debt is that it does not announce when it is about to create havoc or totally ruin you financially. A sudden job loss, illness, accident or marital and/or familial disruption can occur at any time and without warning. When income is greatly reduced or halted altogether due to one (or several) of these disruptions, debt no longer hides behind the veil of being “manageable” or a “tool.” It now shows its true nature and begins to exact punishing blows upon your finances with impunity.  The sudden impact of debt will leave your head spinning as a Mike Tyson uppercut or completely shattered like a Daryl Dawkins dunk.
